f... new years resolutions

1000 km by bike - it seemed a good idea to go for some sport and it didn't seem too much to do in a year, even for someone preferring public transport in the city. that would have been less than 3 km a day, or 20 on every weekend, even with two free weekends over the year, like christmas and easter, let's say.

until this evening i had reached 36.62 km. this unfortunately leaves 963.38 km to go. mind: it's already 14 april, so definitely the days went by faster than the kilometers and all of a sudden 103 are already gone and 96% of the way need to be divided on sixtysomething percent of the time. which leads to a slightly unfortunate change in the required average of kilometres per day to 3.68 or 25.76 a weekend. now i'm a realistic person. if i make a projection to in another 103 and days time, the balance will have shifted further to 92% versus 206, then 88% versus 309 ... and then i find myself confronted with 17.86 km a day or 124.62 km every weekend to do in snow and winter cold ... what a perspective.
